Steve Jobs, Apple and WIRED 0

I was on my iPad and noticed this very cool cover on the most recent booklet/digital issue of WIRED.

This caused me to flip through my WIRED collection to see how many other Steve Jobs covers there have been over the last 19 years.  The answer is only one – Wired 4.02 from February 1996, titled Steve Jobs and the Next Insanely Great Thing.  It  happened to be about Object Oriented Programming, but whatever…

While that was it for Steve, there were a couple cool Apple covers, including my favorite WIRED cover of all time, issue 5.06 from June 1997, right around the worst days ever for Apple, with the headline PRAY.

This one paid homage to the earlier one in the Original Sin issue 16.04 in April 2008

Finally, WIRED embraced Apple’s iconic iPhone ads but bashed their first iTunes phone here in November 2005
