AAinslie
Chris, Do you buy Eric Schmidt's view that online ad market should be $200B+ by 2015?
chrisfralic
AAinslie I think that quote came from nealmohan so maybe he can add his thoughts here. I'm not sure - it's a big number even at half that.

Advertising, Lookin’ Good 3
I’m so glad that Mary Meeker continues to put out her amazing Internet Trends even after she joined Kleiner Perkins – they’ve always been and continue to be a “must read” for me. The full deck is here. But if you’re interested in online advertising and only have time for 4 slides, here are my picks from the section titled, “Advertising, Lookin’ Good”
The first is an update version of my favorite all time online advertising slide. Ad dollars will trend towards where time is spent, and there’s a $20B opportunity in Internet and Mobile in the USA alone.
Ad revenue/spend per user continues to grow as the number of users surges
Time spent online is shifting dramatically from portals to social media sites
And as social media gathers a larger share of display impressions, the CPMs are holding up.
These illustrate the bigger trends in online advertising that keep me believing.
