Nothing To Say

OK, maybe I do have a few things to say about startups and technology...

Taking Care of Business in New Hope, PA 2

If you know me you might know that my family and I have lived in New Hope, PA for most of the past 15 years.   What you might not know about are some of the great things the local business community is up to.

Lets start with the tech world and our portfolio company myYearbook – we've been fortunate to have worked with CEO Geoff Cook and the team for the last 4+ years, and he just wrote a great guest post in TechCrunch that details their growth building a company outside of the Silicon Valley Echo Chamber – they now have over $2 Million in monthly revenues and over 80 employees.

Another thing happening in New Hope this summer is New Hope Lambertville Friday Night Fireworks – a weekly display that has drawn hundreds of visitors and diners and shoppers to New Hope.  Apparently one of the owners of The Logan Inn restaurant had the idea, then a few other stores got behind it, and now the Chambers of Commerce for both cities on the Delaware River are behind it.  People talk about it and they show up, and it's moved the needle for shop owners and has been a real boost to the whole town.

And I've written about Fred's Breakfast before – they just celebrated their 2 year anniversary and their combination of great food and nice people and creating a private club around it has kept it packed and growing.   So keep an eye on the innovation and energy coming out of New Hope, PA…
